my friends landlord defaulted on the mortgage, bank is collecting rents for the rental house....house sold last month at sheriff sale new guy buying the house wanted her out immediately and the bank said ok until she reminded them of her 30 day notice. but my question is, how can someone dictate what gets done to a house before they even own it? is it that easy to get a mortgage on a house that has multiple township code violations? heater is trash..cracked exchanger, portable heaters are only source of heat. what bank would give a mortgage on a place like that? my belief is no bank will give a mortgage with such glaring things as no heater, water constantly in basement, bad electric etc etc...just wanted to know your opinion she's hoping it fails inspection and she gets to stay a bit.was moving for winter anyway with no heater
