I broke an apt. lease last year and now i think my credit is ruined. They are charging me 4k for it im guessing for the last 4 months? What happens if i dont pay it? Will it really ruin my credit? What should i do?

Do you know who "they" are? Has it passed to a CA yet - has it hit your credit report yet? They could obtain a judgement against you, you might be able to settle for less than for what you owe.....
