Following the advice from this site ( , great help on starting the process btw)
I sent a CM medical DV to the CA listed on my credit report on June 8th, today I received a letter from the OC (Dental office) for my debt from March 2009. If the CA is reporting the debt, then why did the OC send me the balance I owe, does that mean they still own the account, but using the CA to collect and report it?
Do I then send the OC a PFD letter to pay and have it removed? It doesn't do me any good to have it show "paid" and still have it on my credit report as a collection for the next 4 years.
