Hi! I've been reading Whychat's posts very diligently and I hope I am doing everything correctly! Most of the baddies on my credit reports are medical collections, and I am hoping to use HIPPA to good effect and get all of this cleaned up. Question: I have a paid medical collection on my report. It is from the healthcare provider, not a collection agent. I sent them Whychat's HIPPA letter, and I have the green card in my files. What letter should I send to the CRA? So far the only sample letters I have seen pertain to CA items, not items from the OC. I am assuming that whatever I write I should not acknowledge that the item is mine. Any suggested verbiage? Sample letters? Should I invoke HIPPA to the CRA? Thanks!
Healthcare providers are not allowed to report directly on your credit reports. The name of the HC provider will be showing ONLY on your copy of the report, everyone else just sees "medical" When was the date of medical service?? Is the account ONLY on Experian?? How and when was it paid and did you pay the OC directly ?? You skipped some essential steps, however you can play catch up now. Opt Out Send Experian this: Come back to this thread with the results.
