I lost my job during the summer and my husband is in the military, but currently deployed. We had some unexpected expenses and because we do not have my income now, we are almost three months behind on our mortgage. I contacted Wells Fargo and told them about our situation. They said I could refinance my loan, which would also allow me to skip a payment. I completed all the paperwork and the guy said we might be able to close next week. I have been trying to contact him because I'm not sure what will happened to the missed payments. Will they be put to the back of the loan or what happens? I want to keep my home, but just unsure what to do.
As long as your husband is deployed they can't foreclose. Look up the SCRA, if you haven't already. But if they have a solution to prevent a foreclosure in the long run its worth a shot. Good Luck!
