So I'm beginning to realize this may or may not have been a mistake based on what being said in the MANY different topics on here. So here's my story, I have a few outstanding debts (two credit cards one in the 1200's the other just 400) who have gone to Collections Agencies, I've tracked down who "bought" my debt and I'm trying to pay what I owe in full. I've been told that settling doesn't look good and stays negative. Even if I pay in full, is that account considered a negative account? I just found about Pay to delete and may write a letter for a P2D to the CA who owns the 1200 debt. Is there anything I can do about the rest of my debt that I've already agreed to pay? Can I still request a P2D? whats my best option to improve my FICO score and show that I'm responsible (now)?
