I'm still slobbering all over this mess with Cap One being the OC...
I have an unpaid charge off with Cap One being incorrectly reported/re-aged on my CR.
When I call Cap One, the customer service rep tells me my account is being handled by a 3rd party collector, and I'm given the name of a CA called ARS. ARS is NOT reporting on any of my CR's.
1. Can/should I request validation from ARS and risk the possibility of them adding their TL to my CR?
2. If I request validation from ARS and they do not respond, can I demand deletion of the Cap One TL?
