I disputed a tradeline at Experian and they sent me a notice stating it had been updated. However, nothing has changed. Do I request that they provide me with the details of how they verified? ( Does anyone have a sample letter for this ?) Also, if they do not provided, does that qualify for deletion? Thanks.
I got a letter like that once, and called, and found out that they had changed the date on it...........I looked again, and saw it......LOL. I did't go the angle that it had been reaged: I took that to mean that they didn't do a thing (verify), but change the date...........so I disputed the date and it got deleted. By the way, I would never do it that way again My thinking was that since they changed the 'correct' date to one that was 'not correct' there was no way they could verify. You could find out what was changed and use that to get it deleted.......get it? Good luck.
