I did a CRA dispute on three Portfolio Recovery accounts that I had on my reports (originally HSBC). After I did the dispute I kicked myself a little because after quite a bit of reading on here it looks like there would have been better ways to go about it.
...anyway. Today I check the mail and i've got THREE letters from them stating:
"Dear adastra:
PRA has concluded its investigation of your dispute and is closing your account. PRA filed a Universal Data Form electronically requesting that the three major credit reporting agencies delete PRA's trade line for this account on your credit reports."
This seems too easy to be true. Did I just luck out? Or is there going to be some mysterious kick in the pants coming from them or HSBC that I'm just not aware of?
If it's legit, I'm super stoked!!!!
Good timing - they have recently been in trouble in a couple of states.
