I opened account 3/26... started me with a 17k line on 58k reported income. When to ask for first CLI? Hard or Soft? Have charged 2k+ and PIF
bump

---

I asked for me first CLI after 6 months, but I've seen reports of 4 months.

---

I did it 3 weeks after getting the card, bumped from 7500 to 10k

---

Good question. I've had mines since march as well.

---

Did you phone in or did you log onto the website?

---

4 months here... but they only started me with 1k and that brought me to 17.5k. I think you are going to hit the max exposure wall.

---

What is max exposure wall for my income ... guesses? I plan on transferring all my balances to NFCU come July on the 0% deal and would like to minimize single card util% damage

---

Did you phone in or did you log onto the website? Just hit the button on a Friday it was there Sunday night.

---

So that balance transfer deal is coming in July? I called the rep yesterday and they couldn't tell me anything. Also, will you be calling in for the CLI or using the luv button?

It is based on your credit. The better your score, the higher you can go. I would guess you can go to 25-30k fairly safely.

VERY uncommon to get a CLI before 3rd month, and even if it does happen it is usually only a small token. Better to wait until 6th month, quite often is a substantial increase. Or you could tough it out until 12th month hoping for a HUGE CLI!!!

I've had my card for 6 weeks and I decided to try for a CLI. Currently at 10k. Asked for 20k. Got the 3-5 day notice. Will let you know what happens. No hard pull on Equifax as of yet.

---

got around 7k increase pushing CL into the twenties a bit less than 2 months after initial approval and another 6k around 3 months later...there were a bunch of posts of rather large increases in short time periods back then so jumped on the band wagon instead of waiting at least 6 months as initially intended.

---

Okay they pulled a hard on Equifax today. Still haven't seen the increase yet. I'll post back when I get it or am denied.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger yesterday evening. The luv button wasn't working, so I called in to the rep and he submitted it for me. He told me it would take 24-48 for a decision. I was asking for a 5k increase, just to be safe, which would put me at 17.5k. Just so everyone knows, he told me it would be a hard pull on EQ. I'll update with a decision later.
