Asset acceptance is getting hit hard. I tell everyone to report them to the Michigan AG, the bbb and the AG of your state. I actually don't live far from them.

they are a bunch of tools i beat them to the curb once easily just buy bringing up the ftc settlement to the bbb. they also got a judgement on me illegally while i was active duty

The only problem I have with that article was "make sure your attorney is a member of the NACA."
That would actually be the last place I'd look. In my exp, not many of the names on there were very knowledgeable about these subjects. I swear I think some of those names are just "on there" to get business.
My attorney wasn't a member. And he sure knew a lot more than the ones who were.

I just filed a complaint with the BBB against them on behalf of my DH a week ago! We just got a notice saying the BBB of MI is looking into it. They are complete SCUM.
