I need new floors and cabinets for the kitchen and its only been 5 months since buying my home so I can't do home equity, My scores are the low 600's Anyone have any experience with them? From what I understand you have to apply in the store.
A friend of mine with very bad credit got 5k with HD to do some kitchen cabinets......at like 21% and no pmt for 6 months I think

You need to find a reputable handy-man to do the work and you buy the materials. For instance HD and LOWE's want $250 to istall a door a handy-man will do it for maybe $75 and so on look/ask around

Apply here...

JMO but I think you would stand a better chance if you applied in person. I think you get a little more leverage if they know you are planning on purchasing something. Worked for me anyway.

Thanks, maybe i'll go this evening.

I got 15k HIL from Home Depot, also got Lowe's "Project Card" which is the same thing. I agree with hiring outside the store, but if you are buying laminate flooring, it's not that hard...my kids and I are doing the floors ourselves
