I had an auto account with Ally that was charged off. Only $320. Briefly- I was a little behind in paying. Received a letter from Ally giving me just a few days to pay. Received letter the 15th saying must be paid by the 20th or will be charged off. I called on the 16th (next day). Guy said he was the account mgr and was the person who made the decision on whether or not to charge off (probably a lie). Assured me it would not be charged off before the 20th and as long as payment was in by the 20th I "would be fine". I logged into the website the 18th to pay the $320 & account had been charged off on the 16th. It is now paid.
So my question is if I were to try to get financing again thru Ally would this bring up the "previous bad experience" designation? I currently have another car financed thru Ally which is paid on time & have had 4 other previous loans with them (gmac) all paid in full.
If you need more info please ket me know. Thanks!

If you have sufficient income to pay the second obligation and their loan to value position is equitable enough, then I would tend to predict an approval.
